What is the Green Power Program?
By signing up your home or business for Dominion Green Power,
you are ensuring that renewable energy is delivered to the electrical grid and
you are helping to support new renewable energy facilities. Dominion will purchase
renewable energy certificates in the amount specified by participating customers.

How much does it cost?
The additional cost for all Dominion Green Power options is
a penny and a half per kilowatt-hour ($0.015 / kilowatt-hour). Additional charges
for Dominion Green Power will appear as a separate line item on participating
customer bills. Dominion does not make a profit on your Green Power purchase.
Your Dominion Green Power options:
100% - Buy Dominion Green Power equal to your monthly
electricity usage
Cost: A residential customer, using an average of 1,000 kilowatt-hours
(kWh) per month, can expect to pay an extra $15.00 a month for this option
(1.5 cents per kilowatt-hour). Total cost will vary based on the amount of
energy you use each month. Benefits: Participation for one year by a customer using
an average of 1,000 kWh per month contributes to reduction in greenhouse gas
emissions equal to removing one and a half cars from the road for a year.*
$2.00 Blocks - Buy Dominion Green Power in $2 blocks
Cost: Every $2 you spend supports approximately 133 kilowatt-hours
of renewable energy (based on 1.5 cents per kilowatt-hour). You choose an
amount that feels right to you - $2, $4, $6, $8, $10, $50, $100, and so on. Benefits: If you purchase 5 blocks a month ($10) for 12 months,
you reduce greenhouse gas emissions equal to removing one car from the road
for a year. The more you buy, the more benefits you create.*
