Briefly

Roger Strickland is an agricultural economist with the Farm and Rural Business Branch, Resource and Rural Economics Division. Roger oversees the issuance of estimates and forecasts for farm sector income. Sector income accounts represent all the earnings and expenses associated with the Nations farms and encompass all stakeholders providing resources to the production of agricultural goods and services. Roger is the Agency's contact person for these income accounts and the liaison with the National Income Staff and the Regional Income Staff at the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) and with the Council of Economic Advisors for the farm income accounts.

Background

Roger joined ERS in 1970. He has worked on a variety of topics, but farm income is his favorite.

Education

B.S. and M.S. from North Carolina State University and Ph.D. from Michigan State University, all in Agricultural Economics.
