‘The War,’ a Companion
Posted on: September 21st, 2007 by Matt Raymond
Beginning this Sunday, Sept. 23, many Americans will be rapt as they watch the stories from Ken Burns latest series, The War, on PBS.
The series focuses on firsthand accounts of those who were affected by World War IImuch like the goal of the Librarys Veterans History Project.
If you get a chance, check out VHPs companion Web site to The War. It provides in-depth accounts that supplement and parallel the seven episodes of the PBS series.
The Library of Congress Veterans History Project, PBS and Florentine Films are collaborating on a project to gather even more firsthand accounts from World War II.
