Flagler County has been very successful in creating historic and environmental parks and greenways that provide not only natural and scenic areas, but historic and educational sites for the public to enjoy.  The proposed creation of the “Heritage Crossroads:  Miles of History” corridor network will allow for linear connections between sites and areas of historic and scenic interest, as well as raise the consciousness of citizens and visitors regarding the value of the cultural and environmental variables that characterize the region.  It is anticipated that this corridor will become one of the popular historic amenities that make Flagler County what it is today. 

Tasks performed by ESI for this project included providing coordination and support to the Heritage Crossroads: Miles of History, Corridor Advocacy Group (CAG), and to coordinate the preparation of the Eligibility Application and Documentation for Phase 1 of the Florida Scenic Highway Program. 

All tasks related to this project were completed in 2006.
