- How does family income impact volunteer and service-learning experiences among youth?
- What motivates youth from disadvantaged circumstances to volunteer?
- What role do religious organizations play in engaging youth from disadvantaged circumstances?
Dear National Service Colleagues:
We would like to invite you to join us for a preview of the Corporation's newest report on volunteering and community engagement among youth from economically disadvantaged circumstances.
On Friday, April 6, the Corporation will publicly release a new report from the “Youth Helping America” series, entitled Leveling the Path to Participation: Volunteering and Civic Engagement among Youth from Disadvantaged Circumstances. The report focuses on the “class gap” in volunteering and will help us identify what we can do to help close that gap. Today, the Corporation shared embargoed copies of the report with interested grantees and attendees at the National Service-Learning Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Please join us for an engaging discussion by phone on Thursday, April 5 at 3:30PM EST. During this time, we will review the report findings, answer questions, and provide tips and ideas that will help foster a deeper discussion with our partners about strengthening efforts to put all youth on a path to a lifetime of healthy community engagement through service and service-learning.
