Dear AmeriCorps State Grantees,
First, I would like to thank all of you who took the time to complete the 2005 CNCS American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) of AmeriCorps State and National Grantees. The results of the surveys have begun to guide us toward specific areas for program improvement. Your feedback was also used to refine both the survey instrument and the survey development process for 2006. Thanks to your honest responses, you will notice key differences in this year’s survey.
As in 2005, we will use the ACSI to capture your opinions. We are pleased to be able to use the ACSI because it is used to assess the customer experience in both the private and public sectors for businesses, nonprofit organizations and government agencies. The Corporation will be able to compare our results with other similar organizations, in order to better understand our performance.
This customer satisfaction survey is an official Corporation for National and Community Service survey and has been approved by the Office of Management and Budget. We have contracted with the CFI Group to manage the survey on our behalf. All of your responses are guaranteed to be anonymous.
In addition to AmeriCorps State and National Program Grantees, surveys have been developed to assess the satisfaction of four other direct customers of the Corporation: AmeriCorps VISTA Project Directors, AmeriCorps NCCC Project Sponsors, Senior Corps Project Directors, and Learn and Serve America Project Grantees. Your input throughout the years was critical in the development of each of these surveys.
You will receive an invitation today to complete a web-based customer satisfaction survey. We want and need to hear from you again. When you receive your invitation to participate in the survey, please take a few moments to offer your feedback. Your voice will be heard and it will be reflected in the work of AmeriCorps and in the Corporation for National and Community Service as a whole.
Thank you again for participating in our improvement efforts and for your commitment to national service.
