USDA Rural Development is planning now for future farm policy. Last June, the Department requested comments from the public to develop recommendations for the 2007 Farm Bill, and subsequently held 52 farm bill forums throughout the United States to gather public input. All totaled, USDA received more than 4,000 comments throughout this process.
