Hi. I'm Michael W. Smith and a member of the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation. Dr. Martin Luther King once said that we could overcome poverty, hunger, and all forms of discrimination and create a beloved community. I'm here to tell you that I'm going to do my part and I'm going to volunteer on Martin Luther King Day and I want you to do the same. You can find out all about it - visit the site MLKDay.gov and find an opportunity near you. Don't make it a day OFF, make it a day ON!
