The Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs and Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University offer graduate programs in nonprofit management and philanthropic studies on the Bloomington and Indianapolis campuses. The 48-credit hour Master of Public Affairs offers a concentration in nonprofit management. Programs in nonprofit management at IU Bloomington was ranked 1st by U.S. News and World Report. The 36-credit hour Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies is awarded by the Center on Philanthropy through the Indiana University School of Liberal Arts in Indianapolis. It is the first master’s degree program in the United States to focus on the history, culture, and values of philanthropy. Students can also combine the two programs, earning both MPA and MA degrees, in 60 credit hours of courses. A limited amount of financial aid is available for students who qualify.
