The Corporation for National and Community Service, as part of its continuing effort to reduce paperwork and respondent burden, provides the general public with an opportunity to comment on proposed collections of information, including our 2008 National Application Instructions. As part of the 60 day period for public comment, you may request to receive the proposed 2008 National Application Instructions. I strongly encourage you to request these instructions, and to read them carefully and make comments as directed in the Federal Register Notice, which can be found here: http://www.americorps.gov/pdf/notices/fy07_06_1020_05.pdf.
Comments are due by December 19, 2006. You may request the instructions and submit comments, identified by the title of the information collection "2008 AmeriCorps National Application Instructions" by any of the following methods:
