What are Email Alerts?
Email alerts are an easy way to find all of the listings on Idealist that you might be interested in. In your profile, you can decide which listings you want emailed to you ("Environmental events in Portland" or "Grantwriting jobs in Mumbai", for instance). Once you've decided, any time an organization or group posts something that matches your criteria you'll receive an email that day. If there are multiple listings posted that match your criteria, they'll all show up in one email, instead of separate emails for each listing.

How do I set Email Alerts?

Once you finish reading this steps, click here to go to your personal Control Panel,
To do this, read these steps and then sign up on Idealist. This only takes a minute, and after you sign up, you will end up in your personal Control Panel. If you are already a member, login here:
- Click on the tab titled “Email Alerts” and then click the link that says “Click here to start.”
- On the next screen you can specify what kind of listings you want to receive, the language they’re posted in, the location you want them for and then what the listings concern.
- Once you have specified your preferences, click submit.
- The next screen will specify the number of listings you will receive. If you wish to receive more listings, broaden your choices. If you wish to receive fewer listings, narrow your choices.
- Once you have the right number of listings, click “That’s Fine” and you should see a description of this new setting underneath the “My Email Alerts” section.
