OSU Water and Watersheds Community

Hydrophiles trip on the McKenzie River.

OSU has a wonderful, collaborative community of researchers and students interested in water and watershed issues. Partnerships extend between departments and colleges and to the many federal research labs affiliated with OSU.

The IWW publishes a monthly electronic newsletter that highlights water and watersheds activities and opportunities that are of interest to this community and beyond. Michael Campana, the IWW Director, also maintains a blog, called WaterWired, and moderates an email distribution list called "The Oregon Water List" that is a forum for water resources professionals across the state.

For students, a great way to become connected is through the Hydrophiles student club. Hydrophiles organizes activities and sponsors two campus email lists - hydro_students and hydro_faculty. The IWW also maintains a calendar of upcoming water resources events and an archive of news stories and press releases that feature OSU water researchers.
