January is National Radon Action Month
Radon is a naturally occurring gas that is found throughout Wisconsin. In elevated levels, radon has been found to cause lung cancer. Testing for radon is easy and inexpensive, and the remedy for high levels of radon is straightforward.
Early detection through cervical cancer screening is crucial. If caught early, it is nearly 100 percent curable. The Wisconsin Well Woman Program provides preventive health screening services, including cervical cancer screening, to low income women who are uninsured or underinsured and between 45 - 64 years of age.
