The African American Jazz Preservation Society of Pittsburgh (AAJPSP) is an outgrowth of the realization that a great deal of the rich cultural contributions made in the field of jazz originated from musicians who were born, raised, are living or have lived in Pittsburgh. Its goal is to preserve and disseminate the history of jazz in Pittsburgh. -
Jazz Workshop, Inc
A nonprofit organization established in 1973 by accomplished musician and social worker Harold Young, Sr. that provides free jazz music lessons to more than 200 inner city children and adults yearly. -
Manchester Craftsmen's Guild Jazz
Committed to the preservation, presentation and promotion of jazz through its 350 seat concert hall, a record label, and educational programs. -
Pittsburgh Jazz Society
A non-profit organization, founded in 1987 which promotes jazz, encourages jazz scholarship and holds periodic meetings where jazz may be performed for members and the general public. -

Westmoreland Jazz Society
The WJS meets at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art on the third Thursday of the month from September through June for a jazz performance. During its season, the WJS presents many of the finest and most respected jazz musicians of the region.
