Legislative Report 2008
The University of Georgia College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences jointly with the College of Family & Consumer Sciences has three federally mandated parts: teaching, research and extension. Each is equally fundamental to keeping Georgia's largest industry – agriculture – growing, developing and prospering.

Walk Georgia: 2009 Extension Banner Program
Walk Georgia is an eight week, on-line physical activity program designed to help people get active in a fun, community-oriented way. Registration for the spring program begins February 15 (and ends March 9).
Local promotional tools are available at www.walkgeorgia.org/promo. Brochures (sets of 100) and posters (sets of 25) may be requested by emailing walkga@uga.edu or calling 706/542-2657. Visit www.walkgeorgia.org for more information.

New Dining Hall at Rock Eagle
A ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony was held Dec. 13 for the new dining hall at Rock Eagle 4-H Center. The long-awaited and much-needed $10 million facility was built for 4-Hers and more than 500 were on hand to help celebrate. Georgia State 4-H Board of Directors (pictured l-r) Joshua Akins, Phillip Henry, Jerico Phillips and Katie Thigpen were among the official ribbon cutters.
