The Shape of Alternative Power
Environmental concerns, fluctuating gas prices and tighter fuel-economy and emissions standards are pushing automakers to offer vehicles powered by something other than just gasoline. There are many new electric and gas-electric hybrids in the works. Some, like the Mini electric, are available in limited numbers, some are just months away and others are much further down the road.
