Pinhole Photography

From airplane hangars that have been turned into pinhole cameras to artist Justin Quinnell’s use of his mouth as a pinhole camera, just about any enclosable space can be made into a pinhole camera. There is a magical dynamic to images created with a homemade pinhole camera. This is photography in one of its simplest forms. Both beginning and advanced photographers learn a variety of ways to make pinhole images, including photographs made directly on 35mm rolls of film and sheets of light-sensitive paper in boxes, cans, or tubes.

Digital Image Capture and Enhancement

In this workshop for digital photographers, participants are provided with a mix of hands-on activities, demonstrations, lectures, and critiques designed to take their knowledge of image enhancement to the next level. Students are introduced to some software options—Photomatix and Helicon Focus—that can simplify the editing process and enhance the tonal range, depth, light, and color of a photograph.
