Second International Conference on the Barcode of Life

The Second International Barcode of Life Conference, co-organized by the Consortium for the Barcode of Life (CBOL) and Academia Sinica, will be held in Taipei, Taiwan on 18-20 September 2007. The conference will highlight the progress that the international Barcode of Life Initiative (BOLI) has made since the First International Barcode Conference was held at the Natural History Museum London in February 2005, and will explore the challenges facing barcoding projects. In addition to the conference’s three days of technical sessions, a number of technical meetings, workshops, and a short course will take place on the days immediately before and after the conference. The new GBIF Data Portal will be demonstrated "hands-on" throughout the Conference by Meredith Lane, GBIF Public and Scientific Liaison.
