Task Force Arrests Attempted Murder Suspect; Two Other Fugitives in Pensacola

PENSACOLA, FL -The U.S. Marshals North Florida Violent Fugitive Task Force apprehended an Escambia County man early this morning that is wanted in connection with an attempted homicide in Pensacola.

At approximately 6:45 am the Marshals Task Force caught up with Willie Clarence Williams Jr., at home on the 1600 Block of Acorn Lane. The 35 year old Williams was also being sought on charges of Felony Battery, Aggravated Battery, Burglary With Assault and Destroying Evidence.

Task Force Officers from Okaloosa and Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Ft Walton Beach Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement found Williams hiding under a bed in the home. While searching for Williams, Task Force Officers identified another wanted fugitive inside the residence, Pamela Snider Shepherd, 52, who is wanted for violating her probation in Okaloosa County.

Snyder first told deputies that her name was “Pamela Johnson” and that she had just arrived there last night from Little Rock, Arkansas. Snyder then changed her story that she was “Pam Martin” and that she had been in town for about two weeks. Eventually she confessed that she was really Pam Shepherd. Shepherd whose violation stems from a charge of Possession of a Prescription Narcotic by Fraud, was also charged in Escambia with Obstruction of Justice.

Another man who tried to escape out of a back door was identified but had no outstanding warrants for his arrest. It was unknown why he tried to flee.

About an hour later, the Task Force and police officers from the Pensacola Police Department arrested Calvin Alexander Harris at home on the 200 Block of East Cross Street in the city. Harris, 33, is wanted on a federal warrant in Fargo, North Dakota for violating his federal probation. All three were booked into the Escambia County Jail. Harris will be brought before a Federal Magistrate Judge for an initial appearance before being extradited back to North Dakota.
