Wildland fires continue to burn in Florida, Oklahoma, and Texas. A total of 13 large fires have burned over 14,000 acres. Twenty-two large fires were contained last week.

The United States has mobilized two Burned Area Emergency Response teams, one 20-person suppression crew and 15 fire specialists and managers to Australia in support of their wildfire situation. For more information, please visit the International Support web site.

Weather:

Dry and breezy conditions are predicted for central and eastern New Mexico, west Texas, and Oklahoma. Breezy and dry conditions is expected over eastern New Mexico and west Texas Monday and Tuesday and will strengthen later in the week. Windy and dry weather is forecasted across central and eastern New Mexico into the Plains of Texas and Oklahoma. Cooler temperatures with precipitation over the weekend will help prevent any significant fire weather issues across the southeastern states over the next week.
