Native American Tribes and Nations are important to rural Oklahoma, and to accomplish our goal of helping improve the economy and quality of life in all of rural Oklahoma, providing assistance to the Tribes and Nations represented in our state is a win-win situation. There are programs in each of the three main areas of Rural Development for which Native American Tribes and Nations may apply. Rural Housing Service has programs to assist in housing needs, in both Single-Family and Multi-Family settings. Rural Business-Cooperative Service has several programs of interest to Native American Tribes and Nations. Rural Utilities Service has programs that can assist in offering quality utility services to the people and businesses in your area. Also, be sure to notice the Community Facilities programs.
