MLK Week Activities Planned at UNL Jan. 19-22

Educator, poet and advocate Lloyd Daniel will be the keynote speaker Jan. 19 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. national holiday. Daniel will deliver "The Second Assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr." during the Chancellor's Program, beginning at 2 p.m. in the auditorium of the Nebraska Union, 1400 R St. The program will also include performances by the Afrikan Peoples Union choir and the presentation of the 13th-annual Chancellor's Fulfilling the Dream awards.
