Big Southern Butte Road Closed for Winter

IDAHO FALLS, ID – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Upper Snake Field Office will be closing the road to the top of Big Southern Butte for the winter starting Monday, December 1.  The road during the winter can be hazardous with ice and snow accumulating on its steep road grade.  

BLM officials expect the road to be closed until early May 2009, depending on snow levels and road conditions.  For more information, please contact BLM Upper Snake Field Office at 208-524-7500.
