When completing draft environmental assessments (EA) and environmental impact statements (EIS), FSA will post copies of these documents for public review and comments. Final EA and EIS documents will also be posted for public review for a period of time along with any Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and Record of Decision (ROD).

 
Environmental Impact Statements

 

 
FSA completes Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) for certain projects or programs that have the potential to significantly impact the quality of the human environment. EISs are completed either for a specific project or at the regional or national level for large program (programmatic) actions.

  • Currently, no Final Environmental Impact Statements are available for comment.

 
Environmental Assessments

 

 
FSA completes Environmental Assessments (EAs) for certain projects or programs in order to determine if the approval of these projects or programs may have the potential to cause significant effects to the environment. EAs are completed either at the local level for a specific project (site specific) or at the regional or national level for a large program (programmatic).

  • Currently, no draft Environmental Assessments are available for comment.

 
FINAL

 
  • 2008 Farm Bill Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) Final (PDF; 6.0 Mb) FSA has completed a Final Programmatic Environmental Assessment for Select Provisions of the 2008 Farm Bill Regarding the Conservation Reserve Program and is issuing a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) (PDF; 45.6 Kb). Comments are being accepted through January 14, 2009 and can be emailed to 2008crpfarmbill@geo-marine.com.
