National Weather Service Ft. Worth Dynamic Homepage Test

Comment On This Test Page

The National Weather Service office in Ft. Worth needs your input on improving our homepage. We have developed a new "Event Driven" front page that allows our forecasters to quickly change our front page to display important weather information based upon the current or expected weather conditions.

When the weather is not very active, you will likely see very little changes to our website. There may be some different icons at the bottom, based upon interests of the season, and you will likely see the Top News of the Day change as well. Otherwise the page will look much like the example to the bottom right.

As the weather becomes more active,  is expected to become more active, or presents some unusual events,  the page may suddenly include a "Special Graphical Image" that graphically displays weather information. Important information may be highlighted with a red banner toward the top of the page.

Additional weather information, including preparedness resources, may be presented further down the page as conditions warrant. The "normal" icons and links at the bottom of our page will still be available as simple text links.
