  1. Question

How do Astronauts study Far Infrared Rays when they are inside the SPACE SHUTTLE?

The Shuttle provides a working environment for the astronauts in space. When they make astronomical studies, including measurements of infrared and ultraviolet radiation, they must use telescopes that are mounted externally to the Shuttle or the Space Station. Electronic detectors register the information which is then transmitted to the inside of the Shuttle and to astronomers on the Earth's surface.
