All
applicants must apply using the Graduate
School Electronic Application web page and state your interest
in a specific faculty members
program.
The application fee is $55.00 U.S. and can be paid via a major credit card when
applying on-line. To be considered for departmental support,
students should complete their applications no later than February 15 for an
August entry date. Those who wish to be considered for a University
fellowship should
have their applications completed in early January for an August entry date,
as there are only a limited number available and they are highly competitive.
In
addition to submitting the on-line
application, you must provide the following:
- an
official copy of all college transcripts;
- three
letters of recommendation;
- an
official copy of your Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores;
- an
official copy of your TOEFL scores if your native language is
other than English;
- a "statement
of purpose" that clearly explains the applicant's academic
and career goals. The statement should specify which area(s)
of the department you would like to specialize and faculty members
whose work is of most interest to you.
