   SIRHA (Lyon, France -- January 24-28, 2009)

SIRHA is the leading international forum for the foodservice sector in Europe. Held biennially in Lyon, France, SIRHA 2007 attracted approximately 133,000 decision makers and welcomed over 1,985 exhibitors. Fruit Logsitica (Berlin Germany --February 4-6, 2009)

Fruit Logistica is the largest international trade show in the world for fresh produce, dried fruits, and tree nuts. U.S. exhibitors at Fruit Logistica will be able to reach buyers from many different markets. The 2008 event was more successful than ever with 2,115 exhibitors from 68 countries. BioFach (Nuremberg, Germany – February 19-22, 2009)

BioFach, the World Organic Trade Fair, is distinguished by its vigor, internationality and innovative power. Gulfood 2009 (February 23-26, 2009)

Held annually, Gulfood 2009 is the largest food and food equipment show trade event held in Dubai, United Emirates. Strategically located, Dubai is the gateway to markets in the Middle East, Iraq, Iran, East Africa and the Indian subcontinent (approximately two billion potential customers). The best prospects are almonds (shelled), beef, poultry meat, snacks foods, fresh apples and pears, edible oils, cheeses, fruit and vegetable juices, condiments and sauces, breakfast cereals, confectionary products, frozen vegetables, pulses, planting seeds, sweeteners, beverage bases and pet foods. AAHAR 2009 New Delhi, India  (March 2009)  

 

This event held annually is the premier food and beverage show in India.  In 2008, more than 350 exhibitors Indian and foreign exhibitors and about 11,000 business visitors attended AAHAR. CRFA Show (Toronto, Canada – March 8-10, 2009)

The Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association (CRFA) Show is the union of the well-known Canadian Food & Beverage Show and HostEx, designed to be the best buying forum in Canada for the foodservice and hospitality industries. The 2008 CRFA Show welcomed 1,500 exhibiting companies and over 12,000 visitors. At the conclusion of CRFA 2008, USA Pavilion Exhibitors projected 12-month sales resulting from this event at approximately $1.1 million. Antad 2009 (Mexico, March 11-13, 2009)

Held annually, AntaHeld annually, Antad is Mexico’s and Latin American’s biggest food and supermarket show with over 1,100 exhibitors and 30,000 square meters of exhibition space.  In 2008, over 15,000 buyers and importers for supermarkets and retailed outlets visited Antad. International Food & Drink Exhibition (IFE London – March 15-18, 2009)

IFE, held biennially, is the United Kingdom’s largest international food and drink exhibition. More than 24,000 visitors attended IFE London 2007 representing every sector of the food and drink industry including food and drink manufacturers, retailers, catering, wholesaler and distributors, and goods and services. The U.S. Department of Agriculture will once again partner with show management to organize a USA Pavilion complete with a selection of booth packages, a business lounge, and the camaraderie and synergy that a USA Pavilion brings. Filda Angola (April 2009)

SIAL Montreal (Montreal, Canada – April 1-3, 2009)

As the #1 market for U.S. consumer food products, Canada is the ideal market to target U.S. food and agricultural exports with its close proximity, common language, and similar culture. SIAL Montreal 2008 welcomed 520 exhibitors and attracted more than 12,461 visitors from 10 Canadian provinces and 60 countries. Thirty-five companies participated in the USA Pavilion. These companies introduced approximately 335 new products, had 525 serious contacts, and 12-month projected sales were estimated at $1.73 million. American Cafe at Food & Hotel Indonesia (Jakarta, Indonesia -- April 15-18, 2009)

Are you interested in getting maximum exposure for your products without the cost of attending the show? European Seafood Exposition (Brussels, Belgium -- April 28-30, 2009)

Seoul & Food Korea is the largest food show in Korea.   In 2008, 40,000 trade visitors attended the show with 800 exhibitors.  This show provides access to major food importers, distributors, hoteliers, restaurateurs, and retailers who are looking for food and beverages, wines and spirits, hospitality and foodservice, and ingredients.  Best market prospects include fish and seafood, beef, pork, poultry, nuts, fresh citrus, and wines.   May 13-16, 2009. Sial China (May 2009)

Hofex  ( Hong Kong -- May  6-9, 2009)

 

Held biennially, Hofex 2009 is Asia’s largest international food and beverage trade show. Hofex 2007 show welcomed more than 28,000 trade visitors, and 1,800 exhibiting companies from 56 countries and regions. Visitors included industry professionals, hotel and restaurant sector representatives, and international news media.  Exhibiting in the USA Pavilion at Hofex 2009 will provide U.S. exporters and distributors with an easy, cost-effective way to promote products, with a choice of furnished booth packages. Exhibitors also will have an opportunity to learn first-hand about regional market trends. Food Taipei (June 18-21, 2009 -- Taipei, Taiwan)

 

Food Taipei is the largest food and beverage show in Taiwan.  Taiwan is the sixth largest market for food and agricultural products.  In 2008, Food Taipei attracted 26,000 Taiwanese professional buyers with 768 exhibitors. With its increasing adoption of U.S. and western food tastes and reliance on imports, Taiwan is a dynamic market for exports of top quality U.S. food and agricultural products.  Best products for this show include:  fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy products, snack foods, poultry products, wines, seafood, rice, tree nuts, health foods, beef, juices and functional ingredients. Food & Hotel Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – October 1-3, 2009)

A USA Pavilion is being organized at the 5th edition of Food & Hotel Vietnam, a sourcing ground and networking trade event for food and hospitality trade professionals in Vietnam. The event will be held at the new venue of Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center. Food & Hotel Vietnam 2007 welcomed 8,374 trade professionals from all over Vietnam, an increase of 15.7 percent from the previous edition. It also featured 240 exhibiting companies from 22 countries/regions. ANUGA (Cologne, Germany – October 10-14, 2009)

TRADE ONE 2009 – Santiago, Chile (November 4-6, 2009)
