Recently, New York Times columnist Nicholas D. Kristof wrote about the Micronutrient Initiative and its programs to iodize salt in Pakistan. and MI President Venkatesh Mannar was interviewed by CBC's The Sunday Edition host Michael Enright. We are very grateful for the overwhelmingly positive response to these pieces and thank those of you who have expressed a desire to support our work.
The Micronutrient Initiative is an international non-profit organization. We have a small administrative function that services our operations and therefore we are not equipped to manage direct, individual donations. We are grateful for the generous contribution made by the Canadian Government through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) that allows us to sustain our efforts. We also appreciate the funding we receive from international financial institutions and a variety of partners and foundations.
We are always looking for new and exciting ways to expand our programs. If you have an idea for a new partnership or funding opportunity or would like to contribute to an existing program, please contact Elliot Hughes, Coordinator of Resource Development and Partnerships at (613) 782-6805 or ehughes@micronutrient.org.
