Why did my fonts become blurry, after I updated to Java version 6u10, and how to fix this?

JRE version(s): 6.0, 6u10+
SYMPTOMS
After updating to Java version 6u10 the fonts become blurry.
CAUSE
The drivers for your video card are not compatible with Java version 6u10.
SOLUTION
Step 1:
Please refer to the manufacturer of your video card, update to the latest version of the drivers for your specific video card.

Step 2:
Disable hardware acceleration feature in Java version 6u10.
Follow these steps, to disable hardware acceleration feature :
Open Java Control Panel.
Double click the Java icon.
Click the Java tab.
Click the View button inside Java Applet Runtime Settings.
Add -Dsun.java2d.d3d=false in the Java Runtime Parameter field for version 1.6.0_10.
