Which version of Java should I download for Windows 98 or Windows ME?

For Windows 98 and Windows ME users, there is a separate download process. While we do not fully support Windows 98 and Windows ME with the current version of Java, we have made an earlier version of Java available for you to download in order to take advantage of many of the applications and applets that use Java technology:
