Joe, the comment from Heidi Hunt is one I was going to share. I discovered Lehman's last year and have made several purchases including a 100% wood indoor folding drying rack. They have two available and I would go for the larger, more durable version. It's definitely sturdy. It is shipped from the maker so it took a little longer than Lehman's normally takes, but worth the wait. We've been using it instead of dryer the last couple months and cut our electrical wattage use in half. They also have outdoor umbrella clotheslines for when nice weather returns. Shopping at Walmart is questionable. Regardless of what they offer or the advertised pricing, their labor and other business practices are highly suspect (see PBS' Frontline report - http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/walmart/). Lots of wooden drying racks are available online from more reputable companies if you can't find a store near you that sells them.

I just saw 100% wooden clothes drying racks at Wal-Mart for less than $20.
