A Few Facts and Figures The photovoltaic (PV) system consists of 60 Siemens modules, each rated at 75 watts. The system produces about 5726 kWh each year. The array is about 480 square feet in size. Carbon Dioxide emissions are reduced by 1562 lbs. p/year. Excess electricity produced by the system is fed into the utility grid, causing NCAT’s meter to turn backward. The system produces about 3 kWh of electricity on an average day. In 2004 NCAT became the first organization in Montana to join the EPA’s Green Power Partnership Program. The partnership is compromised of organizations that demonstrate environmental leadership by choosing green power. NCAT also purchases green tags from Northwestern Energy to offset our consumption of fossil fuels.
