Configuring Java

Does Java change my browser settings?

This article applies to:
  • JRE version(s):
    1.4.2_xx, 1.5.0

The browser settings are read in by the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) when it starts. These settings are valid throughout the life of your browser session. To make the Sun JRE read in new settings, simply restart your browser. If you are running Active Desktop with the JRE, you need to restart the computer.
