  • JRE version(s):
    1.5.0

SYMPTOMS

The font size is too small in applets

CAUSE

Incompatibility between the JRE and certain video cards

SOLUTION

To solve this problem, the user needs to turn off the anti-aliasing feature in the video card driver.
  1. Contact the manufacturer of the video card and find out how to launch the video card driver in your system.
  2. Locate the anti-aliasing feature in the video card driver, and disable it. The steps can vary depending on your computer's video card.
  3. Start > Control Panel > Double click the Display icon > Display Properties dialog box opens > Click the Settings tab > Click the Advanced button

Display Properties dialog box: Click on Advance button
  1. The Plug and Play Monitor dialog box opens. Under one of the tabs, you can adjust the anti-aliasing property. Restart the computer before running the applet again.

    Note: if your video card does NOT support anti-aliasing, then you will not be able to find this option in the video card settings.
