JAFAR J. KARIM
STATE DIRECTOR - SOUTH DAKOTA
Dear Friends:
The purpose of this resource directory is to identify the programs administered by USDA Rural Development. Our programs are administered by three federal agencies that support our mission which is designed to enhance the quality of life in rural America. Those agencies, Rural Utilities Programs, Rural Housing Programs, and the Rural Business and Cooperative Programs, provide programs that target special needs of individuals and communities.
USDA Rural Development is committed to promoting economic and rural development in South Dakota. We believe that Rural America contributes significantly to the economic growth of America. While our programs strongly support community and rural development, we also recognize the role agriculture plays in the lives of South Dakotans. We continue to look for ways in which we can support agricultural business activities and other initiatives which ultimately lead to stronger regional economies and locally enhanced economic activity.
If you need additional information on any of our programs, please visit one of our office locations, or give our state office a call. We look forward to assisting and meeting you.
