ERS and Farm Foundation Announce the 2007 PREISM Workshop

ERS's Program of Research on the Economics of Invasive Species Management (PREISM), an annual competitive grant and cooperative agreement program that focuses on national decisionmaking concerning agricultural invasive species, held its 2007 workshop on October 18-19, at ERS.

The workshop brought together researchers, program administrators, policymakers, and other stakeholders concerned with the management of invasive species. The keynote speaker was Dr. David Lodge, Professor at the University of Notre Dame and Director of the Center for Aquatic Conservation. Another featured speaker was Dr. Mark Sagoff, Senior Research Scholar and Acting Director, Institute for Philosophy and Public Policy, University of Maryland.
