Online Map Request System for VS Management
This on-line system provides a web-based form for VS management to submit requests for basic maps to enhance their daily work. The user lists desired input data and output format specifications. Besides maps, this system offers tabular reports of spatial data, results from spatial analyses, satellite imagery, geocoding services, and related geodata.
Interactive Internet Map Services
Internet-based map services allow APHIS-internal users to interact with spatial data and create customized mapping products. Access via a familiar web browser eliminates the need for specialized GIS knowledge or training. VS' mission is currently supported with two map services: (1) Equine Infectious Anemia Testing 1972 - Present and (2) National Tick Survey. Several more map services are in development.
These map services incorporate ESRI's ArcSDE spatial database management product with the ArcIMS map client product.
