Welcome to IFS
IFS is a research council with international operations and the mission
to build the scientific capacity of developing countries in sciences
related
to the sustainable management of biological and water resources.
At IFS,
we believe that the interests of both science and development are best
served by promoting and nurturing the research efforts of promising
young science graduates, who have the potential to become leading scientists
in their countries.
Since 1974, we have provided support to more than 4600 IFS Grantees in
some 100 developing countries in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and Latin
America and the Caribbean.
