The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program is part of EPA's overall program for small businesses. EPA provides funding directly to private companies for environmental research and technology development. The EPA Annual Solicitation includes topics for protecting the Great Lakes (EPA Region 5), Middle America (Region 7), EPA Office of Water and Critical EPA Needs including topics on water and air pollution, solid and hazardous waste management, pollution prevention, nanotechnology, homeland security and more. To introduce the topics in this year's Phase I Solicitation, several regional workshops have been organized. We hope you will attend one of the following workshops:

2009 SBIR/STTR Expo is designed to relay information about how to apply for contracts under the Small Business Innovation Research programs at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). [Read More] - March 26, 2009
SBIR Workshop: Ames, Iowa in collaboration with USDA and hosted by states of Iowa and Nebraska will provide an overview of these agencies’ programs presented by the EPA’s Jim Gallup and the USDA’s Scott Dockum. One-on-one consultations will be available, and success stories and local SBIR support services will also be featured. 1st Annual Indiana SBIR/STTR Conference is designed to help Indiana businesses become more knowledgeable about how to compete for federal SBIR funding. This workshop is part of an IEDC SBIR Initiative dedicated to assisting Indiana businesses in the commercialization of their prototypes. This, coupled with the matching program of the 21st Century fund, will provide Indiana companies with the fuel needed to excel in the SBIR/STTR programs. [Read More]
