Briefly
Lisa Mancino has been a researcher in the Diet, Safety and Health Economics branch in ERS’s Food Economics Division since August of 2003. The branch’s current research priority is to enhance the knowledge base for explaining the causes and consequences of rising rates of overweight and obesity, and the roles of household income and structure, diet and health knowledge and information, and food access and prices in explaining differences in weight outcomes. Background
Before coming to ERS, Lisa was a Ph.D. student at the University of Minnesota and research assistant for the Retail Food Industry Center. Education
Lisa has a Ph.D. and an M.S. in agricultural economics from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in International Management from Gustavus Adolphus College.
