The issueOak (Quercus) trees provide wildlife habitat, wood products, and many landscape benefits. Oaks occur on over 5 million hectares of land in the Midwest. Due to oak wilt, oak decline, and urbanization, the quantity and quality of the oak resource are threatened. We are working to reduce the impacts of these factors on the oak resource in the region.
