Alliant Small Business Governmentwide Acquisition ContractGSA Announces Notice to Proceed For Alliant Small Business Contract: The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced today the Alliant Small Business Information Technology contract is now available to accept task orders. The Notice to Proceed announcement, which occurred February 2, 2009, is the final step in the award process. GSA will begin training its customer agencies on use of the contract and issuing delegations of procurement authority. Federal customers interested in receiving training on Alliant Small Business are asked to send their requests to alliantsb@gsa.gov. The contract has a five-year base period with one five-year option and is valued at $15 billion. The Alliant Small Business Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (Alliant SB GWAC) is a competitive multiple award, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity set-aside small business contract. The contract is designed to provide worldwide information technology solutions to federal agencies while strengthening opportunities in federal contracting for small businesses. Please note: The solicitation for this contract closed on December 6, 2006. No additional offerors can be considered unless the agency holds an open-season, which the agency reserved the right to conduct or not conduct later during the contract's life, if it deems it to be in the government's best interest.
