I hope that the Congress will quickly pass this bill. Thank you for your hard work. I have contacted my Congresswomen and Senator. If I can do anything else to help get this bill passed let me know.

The white house sees the light !!! And yes, pass the stimulus bill already!! They've also lined up the autocue properly so he's looking at the camera!

I want even more stimulus in the bill and I also want it now. I think it is sad to hear folks like McCain and the herd and their tired old comments. They remind me of the kids in school nobody liked and who got together and became bullies. Hey this is a new dawn, they need to change and join in creating for the country of americans and not the 5% and big multi-national corporations. I will help however possible. Let's start with this legislation and let's inform the populations how and why a stimulus is needed in the most basic term by getting a roundtable of economics or doing a chart or something easy for the legislature GOPs and such how this works. And this just shows me how much our schools have and are failing us. Inform educate and let them fall on their swords or let them change and join hands with the rest of us and re-regulate and get this show on the road. I am so happy to support this bill.

You are forgetting something very important: Those "bullies" >also< won elections. They were put into office by the votes casted by Americans such as myself...Americans that don't believe we should spend ourselves out of debt. And these are not just well-off Americans unaffected by this recession that elected these people; they were also elected by people who are losing their jobs and more. Believe me, I >am< fully educated on this stimulus bill, and I am critical of it because I just hate seeing my country cripal itself like this. The president respects my judgement, and so should you. ;)

This was little than a performance to convince the feeble minded that this wasteful bill is needed. It is not. Do you realize that 800 billion is more money than Federal Government spent from the beginning of the Revolutionary war to the end of Jimmy Carter's presidency. We fought two world wars, several smaller ones and put a man on the moon for less than this one Boondoggle.

yes but your not taking into account inflation and the fact that the Sony PS3 came out. New toys cost money!

I watched Obama giving a very passionate plea during a press meeting yesterday... and it made me feel so happy and hopeful.

You could hear it in his voice - he cares... and knows the weight of this bill... it's been too long since I've got that feeling listening to a President.

Thanks for posting to Vimeo! :) Keep up the great work.
