Wood Adhesives Science and Technology
FS-FPL-4703
Publications
Here is a list of publications from our unit that represents
the variety of topics that we have covered in recent decades. This list is
not comprehensive. You can use the listed publications to get to other publications
through their lists of references, or by using key words in the FPL Search
at the upper left hand corner of this Web site, or by searching under the
name of current and past research scientists employed in the Adhesives unit
in those decades (these would be Gillespie, Conner, Myers, River, Vick, Christiansen,
Baumann and Frihart).
In this section we put information that will update
or supplement what is in the 1999 edition of the Wood
Handbook.
First, we have an updated chart of common wood adhesives,
both for consumer and industrial use. Click on this link: adhesive
selection chart. Probably the best documents in which to read about the
science of wood as a material to be bonded is in Wood
as an Adherend, Technology
of Wood Bonding, and Gluing
of Eastern Hardwoods: A Review. |
