About People, Land & Water

Welcome. The U.S. Department of the Interior's news magazine is written by employees from across the nation. The Secretary's communications office coordinates its content, which celebrates employee stories of human interest, innovation, commitment and drive.

You'll find these stories in the following sections:

-People — features on remarkable employees, award recipients, unsung heroes, why employees love their jobs, and other human interest stories.

-Science and Stewardship — stories about how employees use science and other specialties to manage the land, water, wildlife, and plants entrusted to Interior.

-Working with America — articles on employees who have developed innovative partnerships or other cooperative efforts to gain support for Interior programs.

-Around the Department —  articles that explain how Interior policies and initiatives — such as IT, business systems, personnel, and ethics —  benefit employees.

-Bureau News — Local stories from the bureaus within Interior, featuring promotions, assignments, technical developments, volunteerism, cooperative efforts, employee profiles, and employee efforts within their communities.
