Due to the way the data ranges are calculated, in certain cases, the state and national range will be the same.
6. The legend displays both the data range, and the color range, allowing users to make state by state or county by county visual comparisons on the SVG map.
Published data is not always available for each state or county.
In some instances, the total for an area is zero.
The following is a list of definitions and symbols used when published data is not available:
(D) Withheld to avoid disclosing data for individual farms
(NA) Not available or not published. Some historic data are not published because they are not comparable, electronic files are unavailable, or resummarizing could compromise respondent
confidentiality
(X) Not applicable
(Z) Less than half of the unit shown.
7. The download buttons allow users to either view and print PDF tables of the available data for each state, or download XML or CSV files to be used in spreadsheets or other user applications.
