Weeping birch is hardy in USDA Hardiness Zones 2-7, and native to Europe and Northern Asia. In the wild Betula pendula can reach up to 100 feet; under cultivation this deciduous tree reaches only 60 feet. While the green and yellow foliage displays of summer and fall can fill a small garden, the real interest is in the white bark. You can view this Betula pendula in the Introduction Garden. |
