Briefly

Victor Oliveira is the Assistant Deputy Director for Program Research and Information in the Food Economics Division. Victor manages a program of information dissemination for the Food Assistance and Nutrition Research Program (FANRP) and also conducts research on various food assistance issues.

Background

Victor joined ERS in 1981. Since 1994 he has conducted research in the food assistance area, focusing primarily on the WIC program.

Education

Victor received a B.S. in agricultural economics from the University of Connecticut and an M.S. in agricultural economics from the Pennsylvania State University.
