Briefly
Hodan Farah Wells, an economist with the Economic Research Service, joined USDA in September 2004. As part of the consumption team in the Diet, Safety, and Health Economics Branch, she is responsible for identifying and evaluating economic factors affecting dietary trends, communicating research findings in publications and presentations, and updating U.S. food consumption/disappearance and food loss data. Her current research focuses on food consumption trends. Education
Hodan received her M.A. in Agricultural Economics from Washington State University. She also holds an M.A. in Public Affairs from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in Anthropology from George Mason University. Professional Affiliations
